We have long heard that Adventist prophet Ellen White plagiarized many of her writings from other authors of her time. The following is an excerpt from our study La Sola Scriptura Not So Sola, Rafael Díaz and the “Seventh” Day Adventists. We recommend everyone read and carefully analyze what we present there. However, considering the importance of these accusations, we decided to focus on this particular issue. [r]Sola Scriptura Not So Sola, Rafael Díaz and the “Seventh” Day Adventists

In the study, we analyzed the teachings of Rafael Díaz, one of the most recognized Adventist scholars in all of Latin America. To avoid going around the issue, let's briefly quote Rafael:

11/2/2020 RAFAEL DÍAZ [00:50:10]

“So I want to end this, the Adventist Church has 28 beliefs and six doctrines… and all those beliefs and those doctrines are supported and taken from the Bible Sola. I say this brothers because Protestants and Catholics are saying this: that we get beliefs and doctrines from the books of Ellen White. The Catholic and Protestant ignorance, that they do not know, no belief or doctrine is derived from the books of Ellen White, and notice what I am going to say: that means that if Ellen White had written, so many very good books that help us understand the writing… whether she had written them or not written them, I ASK, would we still have the same 28 beliefs and doctrines?—Yes!”

Well, that remains to be seen, and we break it down in the study, but first, let's quote Rafael Díaz again:

11/2/2020 RAFAEL DÍAZ [00:55:15]

“The pro-health reform… both Catholicism like apostate Protestantism “It doesn’t present that message.”

And from here on out, we will only focus on the issue of Ellen White's plagiarism or plagiarisms. Once again, to expand on all the Adventist wisdom, see the complete study that we already mentioned. [r]Sola Scriptura Not So Sola, Rafael Díaz and the “Seventh” Day Adventists

Are you implying that the Adventist sect is a woman faithful to God? Well, she is faithful to her husband, Satan, that much is clear.

Did you know that this pro-health message is not from Elena but biblical (GEN. 1:29). Another thing, did you know that Ellen White PLAGIARISM his writings on that message from authors of his time and a little further back? [41]The Plagiarisms of Ellen White
About Health
[DOCUMENT, CristoVerdad]
You who read so much, Why don't you read that? I leave it to you as homework.

Did you know that more than 90%—perhaps more than 95-99% of Adventists do not carry that message, moreover, they hate it and they always make fun of it and those who practice it, did you know that? And what is your beloved sect teaching about that message? This is the Visitor Magazine for December 2018, Columbia Union in the United States. Title: “Food that Comes from the Heart, Celebrating the Brotherhood of Ministry|Memories and Favorite Recipes“. Kind of like food for the soul. Won't that be food to kill the heart?

If you want to delve more into the adventures of Ellen White's plagiarism, you can buy the republication of the book Philosophy of Health, by the doctor and preacher Larkin. B. Coles, available on Amazon (English) and other virtual stationery stores. [d]1The Philosophy of Health 1848, Reprint 2018

Speaking of his biography, Wikipedia presents the following:

  • He trained as a minister and was associated with William Miller [William Miller].
  • Coles was one of the first crusaders against tobacco. He authored The Beauties and Deformities of Tobacco-Using in 1853, which described tobacco as “a deadly narcotic.”
  • Influence on Ellen G. White: White frequently lifted passages from Coles' work no attribution.

Have you ever read the writings of Ellen White? And remember that Larkin B. Coles wrote about health long before Ellen White. [d]2Larkin B. Coles, Biography
[LINK, Wikipedia]
There is 37 years of difference between the book Philosophy of Health by LB Coles and Christian Temperance by Ellen White. And the first reference to Ellen White's “health reform” was in 1863, when she published a small volume called “An Appeal to Mothers: The Great Cause of the Physical, Mental and Moral Ruin of Many of the Children of Our Time.” [A Call to Mothers: The Great Cause of the Physical, Mental and Moral Ruin of Many of the Children of Our Time]. We ask the question, Who came first, Abraham or Isaac?

Furthermore, the same Ministry Magazine, the Adventist Church's main pastoral magazine, conducted an investigation in 1990 into whether Ellen White plagiarized the contents of the Desired of All People, one of the most important books she wrote. The conclusion was that Ellen White used literary sources to write this book (PLAGIARISM), well never gave credit to the original authors, and that he used at least 23 sources from other authors, and even that the plagiarized material included fiction books about the life of Christ. These conclusions are available directly from the website of Ministry magazine, which belongs to the same Adventist Church. [d]3The Desire of Ages project: the conclusions

I also recommend the following work published on Facebook, as it provides very solid SOURCES on this topic: The False “Gospel” by Ellen G. White [d]4The false “Gospel” of Ellen G. White
[LINK, @Sheelimm]

Although the vast majority of members of the Adventist Church have not the slightest idea about this project, the conclusion of the members of that church has always been that “the General Conference is in apostasy,” and they detract from the credibility of anything Let him attack his prophetess. Indeed, the General Conference does not serve God, any more than Ellen White did, since the General Conference is—without fear of being mistaken, The “Seventh” Day Adventist Church. They direct EVERYTHING that members receive in their local churches, including the distribution of all Adventist literature, such as its Sabbath School Brochure, the caul is full of satanic teachings.

You are worshiping the devil and you haven't even realized it, and it is precisely those leaders who have you serving the enemy of souls, because of your foolishness to stay in that place. What do you understand by “I got out of there” When God said it in his word? (ISA. 52:11, APC. 18:5)

So, if the General Conference and the leaders of the other divisions and unions are in “apostasy”, that they are not doing the work of God, what are you doing in that place serving their interests, which are not the interests of God? ?

Regardless of whether or not you believe in the honesty of that Desire of Ages project, you are within the same church that produced it. Did not Jesus warn the synagogues and bring his disciples out of there? And you can compare the data from the book Philosophy of Health by Larkin B. Coles and the Book of Temperance and you will realize that Ellen White plagiarized that book. The eighth commandment of God's law says “Thou shalt not steal”, and plagiarism is theft.

In the same book The Desire of Ages, Ellen White wrote:

“When Jesus was in the tomb, Satan triumphed. He dared to hope that the Savior would not be resurrected. He demanded the body of the Lord, and placed his guard around the tomb, trying to keep Christ prisoner. He was bitterly angry when his angels fled at the approach of the heavenly messenger. When he saw Christ emerge triumphant, he knew that his kingdom would end and that he would finally die [d]Satan triumphed, Ellen White
[LINK, @Sheelimm]
—DTG 128.2

Francisco Bergoglio repeated that same message in 2015. And Elena first said that Satan triumphed, and then that Christ rose triumphant, a contradiction in the same quote. Now, can the word defeat or failure be associated with the name of Christ in any thing or circumstance?

Helena said that “satan triumphed” when Christ lay in the tomb. And if he triumphed, it was because Christ failed just as Francis said. It is the same message expressed with different words. That in itself should be more than enough reason to dismiss Ellen White, not as a prophet—for she truly is, but as a prophet of God, which is something very different.

But the matter does not end there. I recently came across a material published by the leadership of the Adventist Church in Spain called: Ellen White: Literary Borrowings and Health Reform, where the church makes an attempt to justify Elena's plagiarism, alluding—as the title of the material indicates, that Elena did not plagiarize, but rather made use of Literary Loans from other authors of the time. [p]Ellen G. White: Literary Loans and Health Reform
[LINK. Classroom7Active]
Loans, of course, that no one gave her permission to make!

The interesting thing is in that same attempt to defend Elena's plagiarism, Aula 7 Activa, the Adventist Church's Official Ministry responsible for the material, gives us the following quote from the prophet:

«What I have written about health It was not taken from books or periodicals […]. My visions were written independently of books or the opinions of others».

The quote is extremely clear, and we understand that Ellen White—at least in this case, was extremely honest—or at least clear in what she said. And she said that she did not take anything from any other author or literary work, but rather received her messages directly from God. However, the Adventist Church explains that Elena did not mean what she said. Oh yes, of course!

Many academic essays, books, and articles have been written on how to interpret the writings of Ellen White. However, there is a basic problem here because on numerous occasions she said that her cries are something like the key to explaining writing, “a lesser light” that leads us to the “greater light.” So how is it esp that the explanation needs to be explained? Someone explain me! [q]1How to Play Ellen White

At the end of the day, Ellen Whie's plagiarism was even greater than her plagiarism of the books of LB Cole, Horace Mann, and others, but she has plagiarized—but with great distortion—the gospel of Christ, for it is removing and putting up to the sacred scriptures. Do you know what the consequence is of committing such errors? Be careful what you stand for at this time.
