Salvation By Works, Vol. 10—Holiness

¹⁶ because it is written: Be holybecause I am holy. —1 PETER 1:16

[1]- ¿Is this not a command that requires an action (work) to be carried out? The fact that we are ordered or ordered to do something is directing us towards a job; and all work is a work.

[2]—The word of God is clear,

¹⁵ Try diligently to present yourself approved to God, as a worker who does not need to be ashamed, who correctly handles the word of truth. —2 TIMOTHY 2:15

¹⁵ But he will be saved by begetting children, if he continues in faith, love and sanctification, with modesty. —1 TIMOTHY 2:15

¹⁴² Your justice is eternal justice,And your law is the truth. —PSALMS 119:142

[3]—Whoever practices holiness is a saint. But today that word is only used to criticize someone who would like to practice it. “You think you are a saint.”“—some ungodly people say, as if that should not be the goal of everyone who professes to follow Jesus.

[4]—People have the standards of Roman holiness so engraved in their minds through canonization that—without realizing it, they compare those who want to live purely with the characters of Catholic idols. However, the reality is that To get to heaven, you have to be a saint:

³⁸ Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them to make fringes on the edges of their garments throughout their generations; and put on each strip of the edges a cord of blue.
³⁹ And it will serve as a stripe, so that when you see it you remember of all the commandments of the Lord, TO PUT THEM TO WORK; and do not look after your heart and your eyes, after which you prostitute yourself. ⁴⁰ So that you remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy to your God.
⁴¹ I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be your God. I am Jehovah your God. —NUMBERS 15:38-41

[5]— In the Scriptures there is not a single apostolic mention that refers to the faithful as Christians. The apostles don't call anyone a Christian either, but the word saint is throughout the entire Bible, especially in the "New Testament."

[6]—But what is a saint?—He who keeps the Commandments of God, the ten:

¹² Here is the patience of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. —REVELATION 14:12

How is holiness achieved? Keeping the Commandments (NUM. 15:37-41). Was the law made for a time or all time?

⁵ And the land was polluted under its inhabitants; because they transgressed the laws, falsified the law, They broke the everlasting covenant. —ISAIAH 24:5

Everlasting = eternal [1]

⁷ The works of his hands are truth and judgment; Faithful they are all his commandments,
⁸ Affirmed eternally and forever, Acts in truth and righteousness. —PSALMS 111:7-8

[7]— Did Christ change or abolish the Law?

⁸ Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever. —HEBREWS 13:8

Let us also not forget that the Lord does not know “not a shadow of variation.” (JAMES 1:17)

[8]—Let us remember that famous meeting, illustrated in Matthew 19—

¹⁶ Then one came and said to him, Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do to have eternal life?
¹⁷ He said to him: Why do you call me good? There is none good but one: God. Further if you want to enter life, keep the commandments.

[9]—Jesus said that he is the way, and the Truth, and the Life… (JOHN 14:6), and he himself is the one who tells you “If you want to enter life" eternal…

¹⁴ Blessed are those who KEEP his commandments, that they may have right to the tree life, and to get in through the gates in the city.
¹⁵ But the dogs will be outside, and the sorcerers, the fornicators, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and makes lies.
¹⁶ I Jesus I have sent my angel to testify to you of these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright and morning star. —REVELATION 22:14-16

[10]— Although whatever may be said, the only requirement to enter heaven is the only thing that most say is not needed to get there, the strict observance of the Holy Law (ROM. 7:12) of God—i.e. Holiness.

¹⁴ Pursue peace with all, and holiness, without which nobody you will see the Lord. —HEBREWS 12:14

Let's get down from that cloud, without keeping the Law, there is no path that leads to heaven.
