One too many Christians have the belief that we are ought to live by faith alone, and that there’s no commitment to keeping God’s 10 commandments law.

To the idea that God’s law is still abiding, they usually respond that we may have a filthy mouth. For them we respond, well God’s law is eternal and as such—Yes, it’s still abiding. We have spoken the truth, and  we will prove it at this very moment.

If you are stating or implying at we are done away with God’s Sinai—and the Genesis, 10 commandments, your argument simply cannot withstand with what the bible teaches. The evidence to the contrary is irrefutable:

12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

14 Blessed are they THAT DO HIS COMMMANDMENTS, that they may have right to the tree of life, and MAY ENTER in through the gates into the city. 15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. —REVELATION 22:1215

This is the last book of the Bible—in the last chapter, and the lord reminds us that those who DO NOT keep his commandments will be lost. If you pay attention to verse 15, the ones that are “WITHOUT” are all violators of God’s law… is that a coincidence?

Paul talks about the fruits of the Spirit. And those fruits are nothing but obedience to the law of God (each one of the 10 commandments). Let’s see:

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. —GALATIANS 5:22-23

Yes, the fruits of the Holy Spirit are God’s Ten Commandments Law, for love is the foundation of the law. AND AGAIN, God is love:

10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. —ROMANS 13:10

And what did Jesus say is the way to show we love him?—Keeping his commandment’s! It’s your call how you will show your love. However, there’s only one true love, and it is shown through the act of obedience.

Now, Paul ask us to walk in the Spirit—that is obeying God’s 10 commandments law. So, when you put Revelation 22:14 and Galatians: 5:22-23 side by side, is clear The fruits of the Spirits and the obedience of the 10 Commandments are one and the same thing. This is even more evident when we expand the texts. Let’s take a look and the fruits of the flesh:

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. —GALATIANS 5:19-21

Here we see that the fruits of the flesh bring condemnation—lost of your salvation. Well, let’s see the text in Revelation 22:15

15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

When you compare the fruits of the flesh with that of revelation 22:15—that is the transgressors of God’s 10 commandments law, we se that it is the same list, with some variation, but the context is the same—you will be lost of if you disobey God’s law. Actually, we can identify that some of the fruits are exactly the same in both bible texts: sorcery (witchcraft),  idolatry, lying (heresies), fornication (uncleanness/whoremongers/homosexuality/adultery), etc. So it’s evident that both Paul in Galatians 5:18-22 and John (well Jesus) in Revelation 22:12-15 are talking about the same thing.

Do you want to be even more surprised? Let’s take a look again at Paul in 1 Corinthians 6:9*-11

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. —1 CORINTHIAS 6:9-11

It’s amazing, but here we the group or fruits, and the consequence is the same: you will be lost. And just like in the other text, each sin listed here is a direct violation of God’s law. Well, sounds like we have some redundancy here for:

Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. —1 JOHN 3:4

One cannot commit sin without transgressing God’s law. And Paul, once again makes it very clear:

But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. FOR WITHOUT THE LAW SIN WAS DEAD. —ROMANS 7:8

And one more time, we beg the question, is sin dead?

Sure, you may say that those that present God’s law and its relevance for our salvation, do have a filthy mouth. Yeah, that is the only argument you can make. And yet, I am still waiting for someone to make some sense that only their distorted view of faith will save us, and that it is backed by the scriptures. Let me remind you—if you happen to be one of them, something you probably never heard in your lukewarm life before:

19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. —James 2:17 KJV

The devil believes exactly as you do. He believes, but does not obey. That’s why he trembles. I do hope, though, that you—as the devil does, at the very least tremble, when you read this:

17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. —James 2:17 

As usual, the point of friction is not so much God’s law, but the issue is always the Sabbath. In “protestant” Christianity—and we quote for no denomination protest anymore, the Sabbath is the point of controversy. And it is supposed to be that way. Satan attacked marriage in Eden, and now he does it with the Sabbath. Those are the two institutions created by God—and for man, at creation. Are you shocked that both institutions are being shaken in society?

Dear friend, if I may call you that, the Bible does not contradict itself, for God is not the author of confusion (1 Cor. 14:33).

Everything must synch and be in harmony together. You CANNOT use one bible text to destroy another. It doesn’t work that way, and that’s where you—and the majority of “protestant” Christianity are at a loss.

I know truth hurts. I once was blind like you…. well, maybe not in that much darkness, but I was blind too. Here, I presented to you the word and the word is explained by itself.

You may say, “Go your own way with your lies”. However, I regret to tell you that I won’t be able to please you by going my own way. That’s a behavior that I certainly see in many people like you… always going your own way! No, I am not going my own way. I am going the way of my savior—for he is whom I serve, NOT self. And my savior says:

15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 14:15 KJV

Now, if you have a different sort of savior whom you serve, then that’s a different story. But my savior—THE ONE I DO SERVE, WHO DIED ON CROSS FOR ME, AND YET HE IS STILL ALIVE TODAY, loves me—for he is love (1 John 4:8). And my savior set a rule—or a bar—you may say, that the only way to show my love back to him, is by faith alone—that is obeying his law!

I am sure your kids show you how much they love you by disobeying your rules. And you gladly take it as proof of that love, right? Well, my savior is bit different. But that is my savior. How about yours?
